This is a cool video, by Maurits... nice visuals synched very well to some nice music. Note the bike lanes are painted red in this video. Any idea where this video was shot?

Yes, I can tell you where this video was shot...
It is in The Hague, Holland, The Netherlands, Europe. The biking boy is my son Midas. Holland is full of special bike lanes, and the lane isn't painted red, it's a red tarmac. Nice to see this video being appreciated ;-]
They obviously do not have helmet laws like they do in the United States. I like the music from Kraftwerk.
Notice also that the boy uses proper right turn hand signals, which would probably be uncommon in the USA, at the moment.
I vote for mandatory curriculum offering of bicycle safety/traffic education for all kids in the public school and private school systems, just like they offer Driver's Ed. Offer Bicycle Safety/traffic Ed.!
Maurits, thanks for making it and sharing it with us in the USA.
Look forward to seeing more of you video work.
You are welcome to use more of my cycling videos here, like the one called Asphalt Rider that resides here: http://one.revver.com/watch/66409

I was my entry for the Bicycle Film Festival in 2005
"Asphalt Rider" is excellent!
Thanks for the link.
What software did you use to edit your video, and what is the music in the background?
Thanks.
Thanks for liking Asphalt Rider...
I use Magix Video Edit Pro to edit my videos and the music in this video was made by me using some softsynth 'wares.
and btw I forgot to mention, I use MAGIX software for my video's.
Sorry for the caps, no shouting here, but it's german and they insist on writing their brand name in capitals ;-]
I use an old Video Deluxe 2005, euro version, the current US version is Movie Edit Pro 11
http://site.magix.net/english-us/home/video/movie-edit-pro-11/
I worked with this in the US and it's awesome, I recommend it.
The interface is much more intuitive and far more flexible and easy to grab then say the mainstream video editing stuff around. Strange still how much the european version of the MAGIX products differ from the US version.... [sorry to ramble]
Thanks for the info on MAGIX.
Please clarify which version do you prefer, and use, the US or european version.
Thanks.
I use the European Dutch language version, which I like very much. But for usage in the US I would prefer the US version for language reasons. I think it's even impossible to order let's say the UK version in the US.
As mentioned before, the interface differs visibly but the sane features are there.
Thanks Marit.
My understanding of what you wrote is that all of the language editions of Magix software have the same features. The only differences are the language and the lay out of the screen interface.
Have you used the Magix music maker? What do you think about it?
What is your preferred music and sound editor and/or music making software?
I really appreciate the blog since the first time do I saw it. Now they have reached another milestone which lead us to report about it, and I think it's a great new... as the content of the text.
