Electric Drill Bike

Not sure of the origin of this picture. However, it appears to be a patent drawing of a bicycle with an electric drill power drive. The electric drill (note 7), drills battery (note 7), connected by a flexible cable(note 5), connected to the rear wheel through some kind of power transmission(note 2 and 3). The power drive appears to have a mechanism to disengage it from the rear wheel (note 8).

The drill appears to be hanging from the bike's frame top crossmember(note 7 and 6)

If any of you know more about the origin of this diagram/schematic, pleace let me know.

I also welcome any other comments on this post.

Thanks.

My understanding is that the motors from cordless appliances burn out quickly when used to power bicycles, because they are not designed for continuous duty under heavy load. That is, some, like drills and power wrenches, are designed for intermittent heavy load, and others, like weed-whacker motors, are designed for continuous light load. They all overheat terribly under a sustained heavy load.
